We do NOT have a democracy in the USA. If we did, we would have no troops in either Iraq or Iran because that is what the MAJORITY of Americans want. We would have a single payer health care system because that is what the majority of the people in the USA want. Large banks like Goldman Sachs and CitiBank would not be receiving the handouts of our taxpayer dollars because the MAJORITY of Americans no not want to give these blood sucking greedy leeches a penny. They are no friend of the people.
In a democracy, the MAJORITY rule.
The type of government that we have instead is a CORPORATE OLIGARCHY.

HOW CAN WE THE PEOPLE CHANGE THIS?
1. Recognize that the overwhelming majority of the Democrats and Republicans in Congress are members of the same elite club and they control the leadership of both parties.
This is why nothing of any real significance changes when the party changes power. For example, has the war in the Middle East ended since the Democrats who were elected with a mandate to end it took over the majority of Congress in 2006? Hell no. Instead they have continue to increase the various “surges” and spend even more of our taxpayer dollars for the corporate welfare of war contractors.
STOP THINKING THAT IF YOU GET ONE PARTY OR THE OTHER ONE IN OFFICE THAT THINGS WILL CHANGE.
NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL THE AMERICAN PEOPLE USE THE POWER OF THEIR VOTES TO REMOVE MOST OF THE INCUMBENTS FROM CONGRESS.
2.We should not give a dime to any organization directly associated with either party.
Republicans should not give a dime to the RNC–not a penny. Nor should you support groups like “Americans for Prosperity”–these are nothing but fake groups made to look like they represent ordinary Americans when in fact they represent the rich. In the case of “Americans for Prosperity”, this group is funded by David Koch of Koch Industries–one of the richest men on the planet #16 to be exact.
Democrats should not give a dime to the DNC or to the DSCC (a fund that is directed by the leadership of the Democratic Party.
RECOGNIZE THAT THE LEADERSHIP OF BOTH PARTIES IS CORRUPT TO THE CORE.
3. We can begin by removing most of the multimillionaires from Congress
The main way to do this is with your vote. First of all work at the primary level. Get the incumbents out of Congress by replacing them in your primaries.
Elect people you can trust to support a democratic society. For the most part these people will be people who have less than a million dollars and who do not own a cent of Wall Street stock.

A non-millionaire Republican has more in common with a non-millionaire Democrat in terms of needed legislation than a non-millionaire Republicans has in common with a multimillionaire Republican in the Senate and vice versa.
