SANFORD AND ENSIGN- the two great white presidential hopes for 2012 derailed by their own dicks. Ensign might even get kicked out of the Senate for his antics and it looks like Sanford will lose his governorship for certain.
Richard Burr [Republican Senator up for re-election in 2010] and his brilliant support to allow insurance companies to continue to treat domestic violence as a precondition. In his enthusiasm to shoot himself in the foot, Burr even attacked the National Women’s Center. This combined with his vote for Halliburton instead of Jamie Leigh Jones should end his career.
John Cornyn [Republican Senator from Texas] who said that the vast majority of the Texans that he represents VEHEMENTLY oppose the Public option. If Senator Cornyn really believes that 43.9 percent of Texans who are uninsured “vehemently” oppose a strong public option, then he is beyond the capability of participating in a rational discussion.
Chuck Grassley [Republican Senator from Iowa up for re-election in 2010] I can’t decide if Grassley is bi-polar, senile or insane. First he worked with Senator Baucus on the Senate Finance committee version of the health care bill and it appeared that he was a rational human being. BUT then Grassley joined the crazies in August. Was it the Iowa summer heat or what that made him go around telling nothing but the biggest of whoppers to his senior citizen constituents–that the Baucus Bill had death panels!!!!!!
Joe Wilson [Republican Congressman from South Carolina] He was a shoo-in until he had the bad taste and stupidity to call the President a liar in the House Chambers and witnessed by millions of Americans. Wilson may have gotten a financial boost from his outburst, but he did not need it. However his opponent did need it and last I hear he got almost a million dollars in the first 24 hours after Wilson’s outburst.

A day of infamy when Republican shots in the foot were heard ’round the world!
The Democrats all owe Al Franken a big THANK YOU. Al introduced an amendment to prohibit government contractors from making their employees sign arbitration agreements as part of their employment clauses. No less than 30 Republican Senators may have signed away their careers by voting against this amendment because people like me will continue to remind people like you until the last one of them has been removed.
October 6, 2009 – No less than 30 Republican Senators shot themselves in the foot simultaneously as they showed their utter disdain for women, and young women in particular by voting in favor of a corporation’s rights over those of a young woman named Jamie Leigh Jones who was gang-raped by 7 men.

Robert Lowry from Florida - Then there are some Republican candidates who won’t even get out the chute in 2010. Lowry went on a shooting spree at a gun range in Broward County Florida and fired assault rifles at a silhouette of a human figure with the initials “DWS” next to her head. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is Lowry’s Democratic opponent. Then he trivialized the violent demonstration of his hatred by saying that it was “just a joke.” Lowry was supposed to be Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Republican opponent in 2010–good luck for getting the votes of women, Mr. Lowry. Even Republican women don’t approve of sexism–that why ALL the female Republican Senators and even a few of the men voted for the Franken amendment against corporation like Halliburton and for young women like Jamie Leigh Jones.

The Republican Party’s demeaning attitude toward women is reflected in their attacks on Nancy Pelosi, the woman who holds the third highest office in the USA. The Republican National Committee’s paid for a sexist and disrespectful video that puts House Speaker Nancy Pelosi side by side with James Bond’s villainess, Miss Galore.
Rush Limbaugh, the king of the Republican hate mongers had these crude remarks to say about the woman who holds the third highest office in this land: “She can multitask. She can breastfeed, she can clip her toenails, she can direct the House, all while the kids are sitting on her lap. Then right-wingers like Wesley Pruden, Washington Time editor is quoted as saying that Speaker Pelosi’s speakership is “about celebrating estrogen.”
DO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY STAND UP AND DENOUNCE THESE SEXIST ATTACKS? HELL NO. Apparently they are too stupid to realize that women vote and we also are the majority.

But what I want to know is why “Democrats” such as Max Baucus and even our own President, continue to insist on “bipartisanship” with people like this? Alan Grayson was right. These people are not going to vote for health care reform regardless.
I say let’s leave them to chew grass in the lonely pasture that they have created for themselves with their own negativity and hatred and pass REAL health care reform: MEDICARE FOR ALL.
Lets just amend the healthcare system that we already have by simply lowering the eligibility age from 65 to 0.

WACKO REPUBLICANS THAT DESERVE SPECIAL MENTION
Rep. Paul Broun - who called Nancy Pelosi an “enemy of the Constitution”. Yet Mr. Broun introduced a bill into the house House of Representatives that would make 2010 THE YEAR OF THE BIBLE.
Americans for Prosperity - an astroturf fake grassroots organization that is funded and directed by David Koch and friends were recorded as actually clapping and cheering when the USA lost the bid for the Olympics to be hosted in Chicago. This is their idea of prosperity? They are for the USA losing the opportunity for thousands of jobs and billions of dollars? For this they cheer. These folks need to be committed.
Jim DeMint - In the DeMinted words of Republican Senator Jim DeMint, “If we’re able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him. . .” Mr. DeMint has fashioned his own personal Waterloo for himself: CONSIDER THESE FACTS OF WHAT DEMINT HAS DONE. Then ask yourself, do you really think that ANY CITIZEN REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT would vote for an idiot like DeMint?
1) Middle Class.org gives DeMint an F for his voting record for every single year that he has held office. For 2009 he currently has a score of 22%.
2)Second of all there is his RIDICULOUS waste of the taxpayers’ money last week when he and three other Republican idiots flew down to Honduras to show their support for the illegal right-wing Honduran coup. An act which all taxpayers should demand that he repay all costs. Talk about INSANITY! He used taxpayer money to show support of an illegal government whose leaders are avowed racists who use ethnic slurs such as “nigger” and refer to black people as monkeys. That is bad enough–but consider that a large percentage of DeMint’s constituents in the state of South Carolina are African Americans! I guess in the haste of his Quixotic flush to support avowed racists he must have forgotten that the black people of South Carolina now have the right to vote.
3) Numbers 1 and 2 should be quite enough to nail his coffin shut, but DeMint didn’t stop there. Jim DeMint and 30 other Senate Republicans voted to support a man’s right to rape a woman. He joined in with a few other hard-liners who also sealed the demise of their careers on October 6, 2009 to vote against democratic Senator Al Franken’s (D-MN) amendment to a defense-spending bill that prohibits “the Defense Department from contracting with companies that require employees to resolve sexual assault allegations and other claims through arbitration” passed the Senate 68-30.
4)If all the above are not enough proof of DeMint’s upcoming “Waterloo”, his membership in a religious cult called THE FAMILY is another huge negative for DeMint. Instead of trying to effect a Waterloo for Obama, DeMint and other of his brothers from the C-Street “church” of fornication better be thinking about what they are going to do to save their careers. It seems as if Pickering kept a diary and he and others did bring women back to the “church” for sex. They better be working overtime on how they will get out of that one.
