We have the military industrial complex and we have the prison industrial complex

October 31, 2011 in Class War, Prisons, Racism Noted

The profit raked in by private businesses on the prison industry comes at the expense of the tax-paying public who support the private prison industry and also at the expense of the largely minority and poor population that is disproportionally incarcerated when compared to whites.

Furthermore, the guards, or correctional officers, of these institutions are typically unable to unionize and generally paid very poorly for the dangerous job they do, ultimately leading to widespread corruption throughout the prison system; from the guards to law enforcement to the judicial system.

In 1993, while apartheid still existed in South Africa, the incarceration rate of black men was almost 1/6 what the current incarceration rate of black men in the USA is today. Yes, the racism in the USA today is actually worse than that of the South African apartheid.

In the USA, Our Congress passes legislation that is guaranteed to add human fodder to the prison system and most of it will be poor and black.

Cocaine is not just cocaine.  There is cocaine for the rich and there is cocaine for the poor. And accordingly, the laws passed by the millionaires in our Congress discriminate to favor the rich and punish the poor.  Crack is cocaine in a base form.  Crack can be sold in smaller and  cheaper units, thus making it available to poor segments of the population.  It is an outgrowth of an intentional marketing strategy undertaken by the drug cartels in Colombia to sell more drugs to the USA.

U.S. Congress made the penalties for possession and distribution of base cocaine (used by the poor) more than twenty times greater than that of powdered cocaine (cocaine hydrochloride) despite the fact that they are the exact same drug,

ILWQ COMMENTS

The laws created during Ronald Reagan’s good ole white boy days regarding the difference  in penalties between using crack cocaine vs. powdered cocaine should 1) be struck down as unconstitutional or 2) changed so that the penalty for powdered cocaine is the same as that for crack cocaine because it is the same drug.

As a legislator, I would work to legalize all drugs with the same controls on them that we currently see placed on the tobacco industry.  If we haven’t learned by now that throwing people in prison will not solve the drug problems of our nation, then stubbornness is not our problem:  stupidity is.

The legislative “War on Drugs” began with Nixon in 1970.  Forty years, and what do we have to show for it  in the USA other than crowded prisons and profits for the Prison Industrial Complex?

report by the Global Commission on Drug Policy issued in June of 2011, argues that the decades-old worldwide “war on drugs has failed, with devastating consequences for individuals and societies around the world.”

Instead of punishing users who the report says “do no harm to others,” the commission argues that governments should end criminalization of drug use, experiment with legal models that would undermine organized crime syndicates and offer health and treatment services for drug-users in need.  I agree.

As for ending both the Military Industrial Complex and the Prison Industrial Complex:  Until we the people remove the profit incentive from both, don’t expect any significant change.

When these bastards can’t make a nickel off exploiting other human beings, that’s when they well stop and not a day, not an hour, not a minute before.

It’s time for accountability not just for Obama but ALL of Washington!

October 23, 2011 in Liars and Nuts

Bill Clinton – George Bush – Barack Obama – 103rd Congress through the 112th U.S. Congress:  What have you done beside make yourselves richer and the majority of the world poorer?

Seriously!  We need to start getting in the faces of every single one of the members of Congress and demanding an explanation for their decisions over the past 10 years.  This isn’t just about the Obama administration, although it certainly includes them.  It also includes the Bush Administration and the decisions made during those years as well and while we are at it, we can include Bill Clinton’s supreme Wall Street legacy as well.

When Hillary was recently in Pakistan and threatening that group of people, she remarked:

“Our message is very clear,” Clinton said. “We’re going to be fighting, we are going to be talking and we are going to be building … and they can either be helping or hindering, but we are not going to stop.”

And I ask:   Building what, Hillary?  What have we built in Afghanistan in the last 10 years?  Where is it?  What is it?

Just exactly what have the Americans built in Afghanistan?  This is the 10th year in Afghanistan and what is there to show for it except death, obliteration of another nations infrastructure, and healthy bottom lines for Wall Street War profiteers and increased Wall Street dividends paid to millionaire investors like you and your husband?  This fiscal year alone the cost of just Afghanistan will be $113 billion. Just this year. Just for Afghanistan and what tangible benefit that that $113 billion brought to the people of Afghanistan?

Now that we are being told to get the hell out of Iraq by the Iraqi people, it’s time to ask what great things we are leaving behind for the people of Iraq.

In addition to  devastated and ruined infrastructure:  Violence may be down, but few of the 2 million Iraqi refugees in Jordan and Syria think it safe enough to go home. A further 1.5 million people are Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), forced out of their homes by sectarian pogroms in 2006 and 2007 and too frightened to return. Of these, some half a million people try to survive in squatter camps which Refugees International describes as lacking “basic services, including water, sanitation and electricity, and built on precarious places – under bridges, alongside railroad tracks and amongst garbage dumps”

The real stories of what happened to the US economy and to USA Main Street

September 9, 2011 in Liars and Nuts, Wall Street

      The Death of Anytown

Once upon a time things were prosperous in Anytown USA.  There were many thriving businesses. Most of them provided goods and services for the people in the community and the surrounding region.  The largest employer in the community was Widget Deluxe Factory.  Widget Deluxe employed 1,500 employees—all of whom lived in Anytown.  Widget Deluxe  was a Wall Street corporation with stock that was traded on the NYSE.  The widgets that the people made were shipped elsewhere and there they were then assembled with other widgets.

Mary, who worked at Widget Deluxe, had her nails done every week at Sally’s Nail Salon on Main Street.  In fact, nearly all of Sally’s customers worked at Widget Deluxe.  There were other Wall street-owned businesses in Anytown.  For example there was a McDonalds with 30 employees.  Many of the  Widget Deluxe employees ate lunch there. Anytown was a bustling thriving community. And of course there were locally owned businesses as well such as Joe’s Gardening and Nursery Supplies,  and Belle’s Cafe.

Then one day, over a thousand miles away in New York City, Floyd Blankhead had a brain fart. The stench of it was still lingering as he pulled out his laptop and began to powerpoint his foul inspiration.  Floyd did not know anyone in who lived in Anytown.  In fact, it had been years since Floyd had set foot outside of Manhattan.

Later that week, following his powerpoint presentation, a board member asked:  ”But what about the people? What about the jobs that will be lost if we shut down Widget Deluxe?  After all Widget Deluxe is still operating at a profit.”

Floyd airily waved the questions aside.  ”Profits!  Pah!  What I’m talking about here is the bottom line and  eliminating thousands of dollars in labor costs. Think about the benefits that our stockholders will realize if we cut the labor force by 1,500, not to mention selling off all the fixtures and the deductions that we will receive as the property deteriorates.  The slack can be picked up by our Minneapolis and Buffalo operations.  In this economy no one is going to complain about longer hours.”

And so began the demise of Anytown USA.  Of course Sally’s Nail Salon was one of the first businesses to go. Last I heard Sally had a part-time job at the local McDonalds.  A lot of folks have moved away. The few that remain don’t know what they will do when their unemployment runs out.

The millionaires and multimillionaires who got their Widget Deluxe dividend statements never had a clue at what cost.  In fact the irony of it all was that many of them didn’t even notice that the dividend was slightly more than the  payment from the last quarter.

Anytown is just one example of many scams that Wall Street financial carnies have pulled and continue to pull on the American people.

Here is another Wall Street Scam that has destroyed thousands of USA Neighborhoods: The Scam of Making a Profit from your Losses

Indeed, the financial world of Wall Street is a true twisted Orwellian newspeak jungle where loss means profit. Buyout guys like Henry Kravis decide to buy a company. They find a company they want to buy.  It may be in your community. Their goal is to make money from the company—but not by growing the company, by hiring more people, by making better more competitive products. Their goal is a destructive, evil and self-serving goal—to make money for themselves and their investors.  To heck with the people in the community.  Wall Street with the anonymity that it provides investors makes the perfect tool.

The buyout/private equity people like Kravitz get some investors to put some cash down.  Then they borrow the rest from banks

When you buy a house or car, you have to pay back the loan.  But thanks to loopholes, created with the help of members of the US Congress, the buyout guys don’t have to pay back their loans. The company they just bought is responsible for the debt—not them.

So private equity investors like Mr. Kravis and his pals  have layoffs and sell offs. [That means jobs of ordinary Americans.] The debt of the company brings other bonuses—lower taxes.  That’s right.  Same company same product.  Just less taxes. Because of all the new debt, the company gets to pay a lot less taxes  which of course means less money for schools and roads and hospitals in your community.

THEN THERE IS CAPITAL GAINS.  WHEN A PRIVATE EQUITY COMPANY SELLS THE COMPANY, AFTER THEY HAVE COMPLETELY GUTTED IT, THE BUYOUT GUYS TAKE 20%.  That’s called carried interest. AND the carried interest that buyout guys like Kravitz collects gets taxed at only 15%.   While people like Kravis make more than a million dollars a day, they get taxed at a lower rate than most ordinary Americans pay.

WHAT ABOUT THE ROADS AND THE SCHOOLS? As far as the rich Wall Street investors are concerned they don’t give a damn.

Preparing for 9/11: Learn who funds the Islamophobia network

August 30, 2011 in Economics and Ideology, Liars and Nuts

THE NATION reports that the Center for American Progress has released a report, appropriately titled Fear, Inc.” that names five “experts” who generate a huge amount of misinformation about Islam:

        • Frank Gaffney at the Center for Security Policy
        • David Yerushalmi at the Society of Americans for National Existence
        • Daniel Pipes at the Middle East Forum
        • Spencer, of Jihad Watch and Stop Islamization of America
        • Steven Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism

Meanwhile, seven foundations have donated no less than $40 million to Islamophobic think tanks like these over the past ten years. They are:
        • Donors Capital Fund
        • Richard Mellon Scaife foundations
        • Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation
        • Newton D. & Rochelle F. Becker foundations and charitable trust
        • Russell Berrie Foundation
        • Anchorage Charitable Fund and William Rosenwald Family Fund
        • Fairbrook Foundation

        ________________________________________________

        IfLizWereQueen Observation

Interesting but not surprising to note that most of these donors are also heavily involved in the efforts to dismantle public education in the USA with their school voucher privatization schemes.  No wonder–dumb down the masses by making education unattainable to the majority and then they will be dumb enough to buy the tripe that is peddled by those who live at the top of the multi-level marketing scheme known as the US economy.

          A pig’s foot for a King pig–seems appropriate

Someone mailed Rep. Peter King (R-NY a bloody severed pig’s foot.  The foot was sent by someone apparently angered by House hearing investigating the possible radicalization of Muslim-Americans that King who chairs the Homeland Security Committee held in March.

          ************************************************************************

          QUEEN’S COMMENTS

I find this hilarious on many levels:

          1. The Homeland Security Legislation is the biggest piece of Pork passed by Congress so far in this century. It was passed by a Republican Congress and a Republican President. If you would listen to a Republican you would think that Homeland Security has kept us all safe. But to continue the Pork analogy–that is pure hogwash.  Can’t think of a better person than a paranoid pig like Peter King to head it up.

To listen to them, ordinary law enforcement is not enough to fight these Islamic radicals (and they tricked the American people into believing this so they could pass their pork). The truth is that every single terrorist plot that has been prevented since 9/11 was prevented through good old-fashioned police and intelligence work that was in place before 9/11. Nothing fancy. No star-wars technology required.

Furthermore if you go along with their claptrap, then you must believe that it is more likely for “Islamic terrorists” to strike in Wyoming or Nebraska than in New York or Los Angeles.

The Republicans devised a formula to take security money from high-risk (and mostly liberal) states like New York and California and give it to lower-risk (and mostly conservative) places like Wyoming and Nebraska. This was silly from a security standpoint—the only explanation was that the Republican Congress was using 9/11 as an excuse to hand out pork sandwiches to their friends.

          2.  People like King and Terry Jones have a lot in common.  They are both hate mongers who will do anything for attention from inciting fear and hate to inciting murder.   King repeatedly made such outrageous claims as “We have too many mosques in this country.” Despite attempts by King and others to push the argument that Muslim Americans haven’t done enough to combat terrorism, the evidence shows that Muslims are very concerned about terrorism. Individually and collectively, Muslim Americans have turned in or contributed to the arrest of many suspected terrorists, including the Times Square bomber and the Hutaree, and some Muslims have helped intelligence agencies to infiltrate the al-Qaeda network. (For a thorough debunking of the idea that Muslims collectively don’t help counterterrorism or law enforcement, see The American Muslim’s article on the King hearings.)

          3. King actually looks like one of his parents might be a pig.

I wonder if the day will come when people stop listening to Limbaugh’s program of endless racial slurs and hatred?

March 18, 2011 in Racism Noted

On Tuesday (March 15) Limbaugh laughed about a Report by Diane Sawyer who noted that refugees in a Japanese shelter were recycling.  “They’ve given us the Prius. Even now, refugees are recycling their garbage,” Limbaugh responded. Here, he began to laugh, continuing, “and yet, Gaia levels them! Just wipes them out!”

On his Thursday show, Limbaugh said he was only making fun of Sawyer.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?  We have a Congress who votes against funding for national public radio and yet they turn a blind ear to the racist pollution of our air waves by people like Rush Limbaugh?

            QUEEN’S COMMENT

Limbaugh is infantile and hideous.  It is unthinkable under ANY circumstances to be laughing in regard to the horrendous colossal disaster that the Japanese people are suffering through.  NO EXCUSE.  Limbaugh was not making fun of Sawyer and this is not the first time that he has expressed racism toward Asian people.

In his book, The Hidden Persuaders, written in 1957, Vance Packard tells us.

“For example, a show can be too funny for its own good.  That was the sad conclusion of the Philip Morris people who poured millions of dollars into their top-rated comedy show I Love Lucy.  While Lucy because the most popular show in television, Philip Morris sales lagged behind and in face dropped 17 percent.  Other factors involving the brand’s image may have been at work too; but as Tide Magazine [now defunct] reported, “There are those at Philip Morris . . .who subscribe to the idea that and extremely good show might never sell products.  Reason:  You tend to talk about the program during the commercials . . . This raises questions.  Is an advertiser better off with a less than top-rated show in order to get the commercials across?  That observation was made in early 1955.  By 1957 some viewers of the United States television might raise questions themselves.  Were some of the resolutely mediocre shows on television that way by design, to increase the impact of the commercials?”

              POLITICS AND THE IMAGE BUILDERS

HAVE WE BECOME A NATION OF PHONY LEADERS–PEOPLE WHO ARE NO MORE REAL OR WHAT THEY PURPORT THEMSELVES TO BE THAN A TELEVISION ACTOR?  Where are the real people? Whatever happened to them?  Where have the ones with the solutions for the majority gone?  Is the best that we can do for a political leader is a posturing peacock who “looks good” on TV?

A world of unseen dictatorship is conceivable, still using the forms of democratic government.“  Kenneth Boulding, University of Michigan.

The manipulative approach to politics is not a discovery of this century, or even the twentieth century.  Napoleon set up a press bureau that he called his Bureau of Public Opinion. Its function was to manufacture political trends to order.  Machiavelli was another who made some original contributions to thinking in this field.

Manipulation of the people by a tyrant with a controlled society if a fairly simple matter.  The real challenge come in dealing effectively with citizens of a free society who can vote you out of office, or spurn  your solicitation for their support if they are so minded.

Effective political manipulation and mass persuasion in a democracy began in the   1950′s.  The presidential campaign of 1956 reflected the change in the traditional characteristics of American political life.  Riesman with his concept of modern American voters as spectator-consumers of politics and Batten, Barton, Durstine and Osborn and their mass merchandising lore.

In 1950, The New York World Telegram, posted these headlines in describing the preparations for the 1950 Congressional campaign:  THE HUCKSTERS TAKE OVER GOP CAMPAIGN.  The lead explained that “the politicians are beginning to apply all the smart advertising techniques used by mass production America to merchandise autos, bath sales and lawn mowers.”  By the mid 1950′s both major United States parties had become deeply involved in the use of professional persuaders to help in their image-building problems.

In early 1956 Nation’s Business [a publication of the Chamber of Commerce] posted this chilling assessment of where American politics was headed.  They happily heralded the new, businessman’s approach to politics.  It proclaimed: “Both parties will merchandise their candidates and issues by the same [dishonest and twisted] methods that business has developed to sell goods.  These include scientific selection of appeals; planned repetition. . . .No flag-waving faithfuls will parade the streets.  Instead, corps of volunteers will ring doorbells and telephones. . . .Radio spot announcements and ads will repeat phrases with a planned intensity.  Billboards will push slogans of proven power….Candidates need, in addition to a rich voice and good diction, to be able to look ‘sincerely’ at the TV camera. . . .”

A California persuader of the new school of “build-up artist/Pygmalion” in the 1950′s was Murray Chotiner, a Los Angeles lawyer who groomed Richard Nixon for national stardom and managed Nixon’s 1952 campaign.  Chotiner’s basis technique ws to present the public with two images:  the good guy (his man) and the bad guy (the opponent).  One of the topics he covered in his speech to the forty-eight state chairmen in 1952 was the use of, and defense against, the “smear”; and he told about the art of implying that the opponent has leftish leanings.  he also talked about the techniques of generating the appearance ob public demand and the technique of winning people’s heart with carefully stimulated candor.

Adlai Stevenson summed up the new process best:  “The idea that you can merchandise candidates for high office like breakfast cereal is the ultimate indignity to the democratic process [and to the voters].”

              *************************************************************************

              QUEEN’S CONCLUSION

As a result of all this nonsense, we end up with politicians representing us in Washington and in our home states who are about as effective as breakfast cereal (and also about as nourishing for the quality of our lives).

Instead of debating real issues that impact the lives of real Americans such as ending the War in Afghanistan, poverty and job creation; we have moronic talking heads on corporate owned mainstream media leading political candidates in discussions about what their minister says, whether or not they believe in evolution, and why a particular candidate wears or does not wear a flag pin.

I think it’s time we kicked the ad men, the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street out of American politics and they can take their millionaire sock monkeys with them.

Glenn Beck on the defensive: “I only called the President a Racist once.”

January 20, 2011 in Racism Noted

First of all, Mr. Beck, once is one time too many.

Just yesterday Glenn Beck made the laughably false claim that he only made “one comment, one time” accusing President Obama of being racist, adding, “and I made it early in the morning.” In fact, Beck has repeatedly accused Obama of racism and of using the presidency to “settle old racial scores.”

Go to Media Matters to see just how many times that Glenn Beck has said that President Obama is a racist.

                *************************************************************

Notes from the Queen regarding this propaganda strategy used by Glenn Beck.

In calling the President a “racist”, Glen Beck is using a propaganda technique called Ad hominem. Ad hominem is a Latin phrase that has come to mean attacking  one’s opponent instead of attacking their arguments.  Conservatives are masters at this particular format for propaganda.  One of their most famous, and unfortunately successful, was the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth in the 2004 Presidential campaign.  The insidious structure of this strategy is often a tactic to erode the candidate’s greatest strength and thus the biggest threat to their opponent.  In Kerry’s case it was his war record compared to that of George Bush which in truth did have more than a few verifiable holes in it.

The strategy and examples of racists calling their victims racists abounds in 20th century and so far 21st century politics.  One of their frequently heard phrases when attacking others as racist is “reverse discrimination.”

That’s how bullies operate.  They bully and victimize others and then when THEY are called on their behavior, they flip flop and all of a sudden they are the victims.  Or as in this specific incidence, they claim that they only did it once and thus it is OK.

Sarah Palin can skip her feigned “innocence”–and so can Sharron Angle and other leaders of the Tea Party.

January 11, 2011 in Liars and Nuts

No, I do not believe that Sarah Palin is directly responsible for what happened Arizona.

Yes, I most definitely believe that she has contributed to the general climate of the Tea Party which is to intimate with guns and threats of revolt if they don’t get their way at the ballot box.

Ms. Palin and the Tea Party continue to ignore one huge difference between them and the patriots who dumped the Tea in Boston Harbor.  The Patriots had no redress for their grievances.  They were colonists.  Ms. Palin and her Tea Party pals are members of a Democracy.  They have the redress of the ballot.  Just because they may not like the outcome of the vote of the majority, they  apparently need to be reminded that does NOT give them the right to threaten with guns –explicitly or implicitly with their Dog Whistle Politics.

She and other leaders in the Tea Party can deny all they want to but their signs and their Dog Whistle politics speak to who they are and what they have done.

Sharon Angle’s comment telling her Tea Party followers to “exercise their second Amendment rights against Congressmen that they don’t agree with ” is just what it sounds like–an incitement to murder.

If you think that these Tea Party people pack guns to political events for any other reason than to intimate others who might disagree with their viewpoint, I think you are wrong.

But all of Palin’s dog whistles are coming home to her.  Huffington Post reported today that some 18year old nut is stalking her in Alaska.

What do you think this sign means?  I read it as meaning:  If I don’t get my way at the ballot, I have a right to shoot those with whom I disagree. I don’t see how it could mean anything else since we don’t have cases where people are being denied the right to vote.

We came unarmed this time.  What does this mean?  That next time they will bring their automatic weapon with them.  These people have the right to vote–just like the rest of us. But they do NOT have the right to threaten others with physical violence.  That is a crime.

AND ANYONE WHO SAYS THAT SIGNS LIKE THIS ARE NOT THREATENING WOULD BE SOMEONE WHO SUPPORTS VIOLENCE.

DOES THIS LOOK LIKE THE FACE OF A MARTYR?

I see on the crowded highway of the Internet where Ms. Palin’s supporters are bringing up the fact that Sarah Palin’s church burned down in December of 2008 and that it was done by an arsonist–not ever proven who.  They are whining because this was not blown into a major news story  AND on top of it suggesting that it was the work of left -wingers.  I suppose that in their mind the fact that a church that the Republican candidate for Vice President burned to the ground should have taken precedence over the fact that we had just elected the first black president in our nation’s history. Which brings up another point.  Happy people (and indeed the left were happy and grateful in December of 2008) do not burn churches to the ground.  UNHAPPY people do things like that.

Just a little human awareness might go a long way.  PEOPLE NEED TO START PAYING ATTENTION TO THE BEHAVIOR OF OTHERS–THEN PERHAPS A FEW OF THEM WILL STOP PROJECTING WHAT THEY DO ONTO OTHERS.

People on the left do not burn down churches. That’s what racists from the right-wing do–Ask Haley Barbour or the folks who live in Alabama.  People from the left do not burn down churches to protest anything.

There are just certain idiotic things that the left do and certain idiotic things that the right do when they are angry (which incidentally brings up another point–the church that Palin attended was burned to the ground after she and McCain lost the elections.  Those on the left were too happy celebrating Obama’s win, even if they were of the sort to burn down churches, which they are not.)

                    **************************************************************

REALITY OF LEFT/RIGHT HERE IN THE USA FOLKS!

In general, when they do act out–the left tend to be masochistic while those on the right are sadistic and aggressive.  GENERALLY SPEAKING.

What do USA leftist fanatics do when they are mad as hell?

In general, in the USA,  the left do things like chain themselves to the gates of Honeywell, lay down in the road to prevent trucks from passing, go on hunger strikes, write letters to the editor, march in organized protest parades.

What do USA right-wing fanatics do when they are mad as hell?

It’s the ones on the right and the religious fanatics who tend to be the ones who drag people behind pickup trucks, hang them, shoot people, throw bricks through windows and commit arson.

In general, when they do act out–the left tend to be masochistic while those on the right are sadistic and aggressive.  GENERALLY SPEAKING.

                    OUTSTANDING EXCEPTIONS ASSASSINATION OF PRESIDENTS

Please note :  I say GENERALLY speaking, most of the time.

Lincoln, the leader of the moderate faction of the Republican Party, was assassinated by Booth, a southern Democrat who stood for Dixie and its slavery [Once upon a time the Democratic Party was the conservative party.  They supported the South during the civil war.  Then in the 50's they flip flopped with the Civil Rights movement and became the "liberal" party with the Republicans taking over as the Conservative party.  Thus, although he was called a "Democrat", Booth's political ideology would be more  in alignment with the Republican Party of today so we count Book as an arch conservative.]

JFK was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, a former marine who had defected to the Soviet Union so we must count that assassination as coming from a twisted representative of the left.

Guiteau who assassinated Garfield was a Republican who decided that God had commanded him to kill the ungrateful president.  Mark one up for the conservatives.

Leon Frank Czolgosz who assassinated William McKinley was a leftist anarchist.  Mark one up for the left.

So there you have it.  In terms of the most extreme violent disruption of our government, it’s an even split between the left and the right.  However, I think the common element to all these dastardly deeds is “mentally unbalanced.”

Whether a person is left or right does not seem to have as much bearing as does their mental state.  One common thread for all these people is that they are loners who have been rejected.  Often they are people who have little left to lose.

BUT, BACK TO THE MAIN TOPIC:  the fact that the church attended by Palin is burned to the ground has absolutely NOTHING to do with the role that Palin may have played in inciting the murders that were committed yesterday in Arizona.

                    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

It is never a good thing to suggest or imply that violence is a solution for any human disagreement.  And you cannot look at the Tea Party literature without seeing that it abounds in call for violence and suggestions as “taking up arms” as a solution.  To say that the Tea Party does not incite violence as a solution is not accurate.  They do and so does Sarah Palin and other of its leaders.
