Here is the face of a real hero since “the friends of Sam Johnson” don’t seem to be able to recognize a hero when they see one.
October 7, 2010 in 2011 Republican Pasture, Class War, Liars and Nuts
Meet James Zadroga. He holds an oxygen tank in one hand and his daughter, Tylerann, in the other in an undated photo. The House bill to aid other 9/11 first responder heroes is named for Zadroga, a police detective who died at age 34. James like most of the 9/11 responders had no history of respiratory illness prior to working at the 9/11 ground zero. He was in the prime of life and a runner. We can’t help James because he is dead now. But when the House had a chance in July to help other 9/11 first responders, Sam Johnson voted against the bill. The bill fell short, 255-159. The vote was largely along party lines, with 12 Republicans joining Democrats supporting the measure. Then on Sept 29, the bill passed the House but once again, Sam Johnson was not among those who supported these heroes. In Sam’s world I guess if you are not shooting down civilians from your jet fighter or blowing Syria off the face of the map as he suggested as a solution to people in Allen in 2005, you are not a hero.
As they did with Agent Orange during Vietnam and then the mysterious disease that our soldiers came back with from the Gulf War, many Republican government officials are denying that there is any correlation between the many young 9/11 first responders who are dying and have already died of respiratory illnesses and cancer and their exposure to all the toxins at ground zero. Republicans can fork over billions to war contractors, but when it comes to supporting real heroes, they are indeed the party of no. This is typical of how the Republicans and their Tea Party faction respond to all the working people of America. It is somehow our fault because we dare to ask for minimum wage after 10 years of it being below poverty level in many states. How dare we ask for safe working conditions and diminish the quarterly dividends of the rich.

One of the reasons that Sam Johnson has won again and again and again is because 1) the majority in his district don’t vote 2) the truth is not told about what Sam Johnson really does and 3) lies are told about what he really does vote for and against.
I hope that enough people are awake in the Third US Congressional District this year to send Sam Johnson back home where he belongs. Let him see Main Street every day and then he might realize what he has done to the majority in this nation with his votes over the past 20 years.

If you read the twisted truth that comes from the pens of those who call themselves “the friends of Sam Johnson” you will see how they shamelessly exploit the ancient history of Sam Johnson as a hero and neglect to mention important details such as the fact that their “hero” voted against helping real heroes from the 21st century not once, but twice.
If you keep up with how Sam Johnson REALLY votes, you will see through their shameless misrepresentation of the truth. Look at these headlines written by one of the “friends”
“SAM JOHNSON’S TAX BILL BECOMES LAW”
There are many things wrong with these headlines which actually refers to H.R. 5297 Small Business Jobs and Credit Act of 2010:
1. It was NOT “Sam Johnson’s Tax Bill” . Johnson didn’t even co-sponsor the bill. [Barney Frank wrote the bill and it was co-sponsored by 20 Democrats--not a Republican, much less Sam Johnson, among them] Furthermore Sam Johnson has never written a major piece of legislation in the 20 years that he has been in the House. Never.
2. Sam Johnson was among those 187 Republicans who voted against the bill for small business. Thus, ironically, Sam Johnson was voting against his own small amendment that he added to this bill. The measure, which passed the House in a 237 to 187 vote, is aimed at creating 500,000 jobs, according to a Senate summary of the bill. The Small Business Jobs Act also is intended to make credit more available for Main Street and enacts about $12 billion in tax breaks. Go here for further education: GovTrack.
SAM JOHNSON VOTED AGAINST THIS BILL DESIGNED TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES IN AMERICA AND THEN HIS “FRIENDS” TRY TO LEAVE THE FALSE IMPRESSION THAT NOT ONLY DID HE VOTE FOR THIS BILL, HE WROTE IT!
This is nothing short of lying.
