Read the Newspeak of the Senate Health Care “reform” bill
AFFORDABILITY IS RELATIVE. IT IS DEFINED DIFFERENTLY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF A MULTIMILLIONARIE SENATOR THAN FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF AN ORDINARY AMERICAN WITHOUT A POT TO PEE IN.
*********************************************************************
House staffers calculate that a family of four earning $33,000 a year would pay $1,521 in premiums NOTE: if you are a breadwinner earning $33,000 a year for a family of 4, do you have an extra $1,521 to fork over to a health insurance predator? What part of poverty don’t our rich elected officials understand?
Under the Senate bill, which is $530 more than under the House bill. The same family would be exposed to as much as $4,100 in cost-sharing under the Senate bill, which is $3,100 more than under the House bill. Affordability is probably the most critical issue in winning popular support. The Senate needs to agree to more subsidies.
NEWSPEAK INTERPRETATION OF “COST-SHARING”: Cost sharing means that people likely have to cough up another $4,100 before their “benefits” from the health insurance predators kick in. What family of four with an income of $33,000 a year has $4,100 lying around to hand over to health insurance vultures?
********************************************************
Here is what I have yet to see explained ANYWHERE: What kind of coverage does a family of four get who pay an annual premium of $1,521 to a Wall Street health insurance predator?
REALLY WHAT KIND OF CARE COULD THEY EXPECT?
Cost sharing? That needs to be explained in detail. If it means what I think it means–money that must be paid up front before any claims are considered, then the “health insurance” is a damned fraud.
$5,621 dollars amounts to 16% of the total family income.
When ordinary Americans have to fork over 16% of their annual income to a Wall Street health insurance predator, it is time to replace a lot of multimillionaire Senators who do not represent the majority.
************************************************************
IT IS ABSURD THAT THE USA CITIZENS MUST PAY FOR HEALTH CARE WHEN CITIZENS OF FRANCE HAVE THEIR HEALTH CARE BILL TAKEN CARE OF BY THEIR TAXES AND IT’S A LIE THAT THEIR ORDINARY FRENCH CITIZENS PAY MORE THAN ORDINARY AMERICANS IN TAXES. That is not true. What IS TRUE is that rich French people actually do pay taxes as they do not have a multimillionaire Congress to provide them loopholes.
BUT THEN THEIR COUNTRY IS NOT GOING OUT ON “PRE-EMPTIVE” AGRESSIVE ATTACKS OF OTHER NATIONS.
Our elected officials and the rich don’t bat an eye that the current over $1 trillion costs of the Iraq and Afghan wars for the past 5 years, but they raise unholy hell when it come to funding anything that might benefit ordinary Americans or cut back on their own Wall Street dividends.
