2.1 Retiring Democratic Senators

o 2.1.1 Roland Burris of Illinois - get a progressive Democrat to replace Burris.  Burris and his voting record this year was not that bad.  I certainly have less to complain about his votes–for example, he stood up for ACORN and did not side with the Republican smear of this organization as did many other fake Democrats.

o 2.1.2 Ted Kaufman of Delaware - not a bad Democrat. He was selected to replace Joe Biden’s seat.

2.2 “Retiring” Republican Senators

NOTE: Senators don’t “retire”.  They either die, get voted out of office after years of corruption, move on to a more powerful position such as President or Governor, go to jail, or become lobbyists–a position even more lucrative than that of US Senator.
o 2.2.1 Kit Bond of Missouri - Bond is a crooked as a three-legged dog and a liar to boot who pretends he had no connections to Jack Abramoff.  yeah right!  Don’t blame me, blame my wife.  I have no idea what she is doing. With all Bond’s ties to lobbyists, you can bet that he will be hitting the beltline revolving door with extreme force after his “retirement.”
o 2.2.2 Sam Brownback of Kansas  Brownback–another one who supports corporations over young women who have been gang raped.  Another one who thinks it’s ok to allow a corporation to be the judge and jury in such cases–a total violation of constitutional law.  We can thank our stars that he won’t be in the senate any more. He is better off serving a state whose citizens murder doctors who disagree with their religious viewpoints.  Interesting, isn’t it–that Kansas is also the same state from which our Secretary of Health hails.
o 2.2.3 Jim Bunning of Kentucky
o 2.2.4 Judd Gregg of New Hampshire
o 2.2.5 George LeMieux of Florida
o 2.2.6 George Voinovich of Ohio

2.3 DEMOCRATIC INCUMBENTS

o 2.3.1 Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas GET HER WALL STREET CENTRIST ASS OUT OF ONE OF THE POOREST STATES IN THE UNION!  FIND A PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT TO CHALLENGE HER! This woman may represent Wall Street’s interests, but she does NOT represent the majority of the people in Arkansas who want a strong public option for health care.  Blanche Lincoln is a deceitful liar.

o 2.3.2 Barbara Boxer of California  KEEPER BUT SHE COULD HAVE DONE BETTER THAN SHE DID FOR HEALTH CARE.

o 2.3.3 Michael Bennet of Colorado - not progressive enough but not completely bad.

o 2.3.4 Christopher Dodd of Connecticut FIND A PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT AND KICK HIS ASS OUT! Dodd is nothing but another corporate Wall Street Shill who does the dirty work for Wall Street and reaps the rewards.  Just ask him about COUNTRYWIDE and his mortgage.  You can bet your ass that Chris Dodd didn’t get a subprime loan with ridiculous rate.  You can bet your ass that no one will be foreclosing on his home–not with the favors that he delivers to the financial industry.

o 2.3.5 Daniel Inouye of Hawaii - time for him to retire.  He is in his late 80’s and has been serving since 1963

o 2.3.6 Evan Bayh of Indiana FIND A PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT AND KICK HIS ASS OUT!  This jackass and his wife are millionaires, thanks to the health insurance industry.  AND HE HAS THE NERVE TO STAND AGAINST THE PUBLIC OPTION.  FIGHT THIS JACKASS DOWN TO THE GROUND.  GET HIM OUT! MORE ON BAYH

o 2.3.7 Barbara Mikulski of Maryland - a keeper.  She assumed office in 1987 and is the most senior female senator.  she ranks 17 in seniority out of 100 senators.

o 2.3.8 Harry Reid of Nevada  HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE!  A PROBABLE NO PROGRESSIVE SUPPORT.

o 2.3.9 Kirsten Gillibrand of New York SUPPORT WITH RESERVATION

o 2.3.10 Chuck Schumer of New York FIND A PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT AND KICK HIS ASS OUT!
Chuck Schumer is another  New York Financial Industry Wall Street fat cat.  Schumer, like Hillary Clinton is  a fake.  They pretend to be “progressive”.  In fact, a lot of know-nothing Republicans refer to them as “liberals”.  Schumer and Clinton are no liberals.  They are Wall Street representatives–not representatives of the majority of the people of the USA.

o 2.3.11 Byron Dorgan of North Dakota - SIX OF ONE HALF A DOZEN OF ANOTHER TOSSUP.  Usually Dorgan stands on the side of the people–but not always.  His turncoat stance on health care does little to recommend him for re-election.

o 2.3.12 Ron Wyden of Oregon - a keeper, but he needs to change his stance on trade agreements.  He voted for NAFTA and has subsequently supported many trade agreements including CAFTA!  He voted against authorization of military force in iraq.

o 2.3.13 Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania FIND A PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT AND KICK HIS ASS OUT!  Excuse me? We need more republicans in the democratic party?  perhaps to fulfill Rahm Emanuel’s wet dream but not for the good of our party.  We need Arlenn Specter on our team about like we need Joe Lieberman.

o 2.3.14 Patrick Leahy of Vermont KEEPER, but still disappointed that he supported the fake health care “reform” bill.

o 2.3.15 Patty Murray of Washington- OK,  but a little too close to Hillary for comfort.

o 2.3.16 Russ Feingold of Wisconsin KEEPER but needs his ass kicked for voting for the sorry-assed health care bill

2.4 REPUBLICAN INCUMBENTS

KICK ALL THEIR ASSES OUT AND REPLACE WITH PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS

Nearly all of these jackasses voted to allow corporate kangaroo courts to preside over rape cases.  They supported Halliburton’s decision to hold Jamie Leigh Jones, a young woman who was gang-raped by no less than 7 men hostage in a storage container.  NOT ONLY DO ALL OF THESE MEN NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT WOMEN–THEY DON’T EVEN GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE CONSITUTION AND THE LAW.  ANY AMERICAN WHO VOTES FOR ANY ONE OF THESE JACKASSES DOES NOT BELIEVE IN DEMOCRACY!

o 2.4.1 Richard Shelby of Alabama - another self-serving crook who voted to support  corporations over the rights of young rape victims.  Shelby, in his role as chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs opposed proposed legislation that would have permitted additional competition in the title insurance industry. Shelby and his wife own between $1 million and $5 million of stock in Tuscaloosa Title Co. His staff stated that his opposition to the bills is unrelated to his relationship with Tuscaloosa Title.  UH huh. yeah, sure.

o 2.4.2 Lisa Murkowski of Alaska [She did not vote in favor of corporate America over rape victims, but most of the Republican men on this list did.]

o 2.4.3 John McCain of Arizona - no surprise that this disrespector of women would vote for a corporation’s rights over those of a young female rape victim.  This is the same man who made the crude joke about Chelsea Clinton when Chelsea was 18  years old.  McCain said that Clinton’s daughter was so ugly because janet Reno was her father.  In one breath McCain manages to insult females of all ages.

o 2.4.4 Johnny Isakson of Georgia  He blathers on about how he supports life and then he throws away the rights of a young woman who has been gang-raped in favor of Halliburton’s right to hold their own Kangaroo court.

o 2.4.5 Mike Crapo of Idaho - another pig republican who supports corporate rights over those of a young rape victim.  UGH  If you have a wife, mother or daughter and vote for a creep like this, I hope they hit you in your face with their purse–loaded with a brick!

o 2.4.6 Chuck Grassley of Iowa [Grassley did not vote for corporations over rape victims.  However he did enough damage with his out right lies to his constituents about death panels in his attempts to kill the public option that he does not deserve to be re-elected.  Any politiician who is willing to lie to his constituents about a bill does not deserve their trust.]

o 2.4.7 David Vitter of Louisiana Are you kidding?  This guy has his name in the DC Madams black book.  No surprise here that he would vote to support a corporation’s rights over those of a young female rape victim.

o 2.4.8 Richard Burr of North Carolina Are you kidding?  Senator Richard Burr from North Carolina
Senator Burr is no friend to women.  First of all he voted for corporations to have the right to hold their own kangaroo courts instead of having rapists tried by a real court of law.  Then just a few day’s later, he informs us that violence against women is a pre-existing condition.

o 2.4.9 Tom Coburn of Oklahoma Are you kidding?  if this idiot is re-elected then the people of Oklahoma are brain dead. Coburn is a member of the religious cult, the FAMILY he assisted in negotiating the bribe paid to Ensigns lover’s family.  He cares about life and he votes to uphold the rights of corporate America over those of a young woman who had been gang raped and then held prisoner by Halliburton?  Coburn like many of  his other Senate pals and all of his FAMILY buddies is a big liar and fake.
o 2.4.10 Jim DeMint of South Carolina Middle Class.org gives DeMint an F for his voting record for every single year that he has held office.  For 2009 he currently has a score of 22%.

Second of all there is his RIDICULOUS waste of the taxpayers’ money when he and three other Republican idiots flew down to Honduras to show their support for the illegal right-wing Honduran coup. An act which all taxpayers should demand that he repay all costs.  Talk about INSANITY! He used taxpayer money to show support of  an illegal government whose leaders are avowed racists who use ethnic slurs such as “nigger”  and refer to black people as monkeys.   That is bad enough–but consider that a large percentage of DeMint’s constituents in the state of South Carolina are African Americans!  I guess in the haste of his Quixotic flush to support avowed racists he must have forgotten that the black people of South Carolina now have the right to vote. Jim DeMint and 30 other Senate Republicans voted to support a man’s right to rape a woman. He joined in with a few other hard-liners who also sealed the demise of their careers on October 6, 2009 to vote against democratic Senator Al Franken’s (D-MN) amendment to a defense-spending bill that prohibits “the Defense Department from contracting with companies that require employees to resolve sexual assault allegations and other claims through arbitration” passed the Senate 68-30.
o 2.4.11 John Thune of South Dakota - How could John Thune, an evangelical Christian with two daughters, Brittany and Larissa, listen to the testimony of Jamie Leigh Jones and choose to deny her the right to full representation in  our courts?  I wonder how Mr. Thune would have voted if one of his daughters were gang-raped by 7 men.  I wonder if he would still have thought that it was ok to leave her up to the mercy of Halliburton’s kangaroo court?
o 2.4.12 Bob Bennett of Utah  get  his right-wing religious ass out of the Senate.
