HERE IS A PIE FOR CHRIS DODD AND JOHN MCCAIN–TWO OF A KIND–BOTH HYPOCRITES!

Chris Dodd, who is among those who take huge gifts from financial institutions was reported this morning as saying that he is “disappointed with some of the newest members of Congress not being more polite to the rich Republicans” saying that it breaks a tradition of hundreds of years of politeness. [His reputation still has not recovered from the revelation last year that he received a sweetheart deal on his mortgage, saving upwards of $75,000 courtesy of Countrywide, one of the biggest pushers of the subprime mortgages that have landed the U.S. economy in such dire straits}

His comment was a thinly veiled criticism of Al Franken who recently refused to allow Joe Lieberman (the “Democrat” who supported John McCain instead of Barack Obama in the last election) the opportunity to finish one of his harangs against REAL health care reform.

OF COURSE CENTRIST/REPUBLICAN/RIGHT WING DEMOCRATS LIKE CHRIS DODD FORGET THAT REPUBLICANS DO THAT ALL THE TIME.

The notion that the Senate is a polite chamber and that these new freshman Democratic Senators are breaking old rules of politeness is pure fantasy.  The rule that these progressive Senators ARE breaking is bending over and handing a Republican a jar of Vasoline.  THAT is the only rule they are breaking.  In addition, another rule that they are breaking is speaking the truth and standing up for ordinary Americans.

THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE NEW PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS LIKE AL FRANKEN ARE STANDING UP FOR THE PEOPLE AND CALLING REPUBLICANS AND TURNCOAT DEMOCRATS LIKE JOE LIEBERMAN FOR WHAT THEY ARE.

Perhaps Chris Dodd and others who are throwing out this crap about how polite the Senators are need to refresh their short-term memories and read the Rolling Stone Article titled THE WORST CONGRESS EVER.

Dodd’s chastising is remindful of the same hypocritical nonsense that was coming out of John McCain’s mouth a few days ago when he openly criticized Al Franken for shutting up Joe Lieberman’s pie hole.  Turns out that for all his piety, that John McCain had himself done the same thing in 2003–not allowed a fellow Senator an additional 20 seconds.

SO BOTH JOHN MCCAIN AND CHRIS DODD CAN SHUT THEIR PIE HOLES IF THEIR HYPOCRISY IS THE BEST THEY CAN OFFER.

FURTHER MORE, SENATOR DODD, IT’S ABOUT TIME THAT YOU AND THE OBAMA/CLINTON RATPACK LEARNED THE LESSON IN PARTY LOYALTY. For all your sucking up to Olympia Snowe and kissing her ass during health care debates–did that get you her vote?  Did that get  you ONE DAMN REPUBLICAN VOTE?

YOU AND OTHER CENTRISTS BETTER WAKE UP AND REMEMBER WHOSE TEAM YOU ARE ON.  YOU AND RAHM EMANUEL MAY THINK IT’S OPEN SEASON ON PROGRESSIVES AND LIBERALS, BUT YOU FORGET:  WHILE WE ARE NOT A MAJORITY YET IN DC, WE ARE A MAJORITY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

PUT CHRIS DODD ON THE LIST TO REMOVE FROM OFFICE IN 2010 AND REPLACE WITH A REAL DEMOCRAT.
