You can’t put a price on good health. But one of the nation’s largest health insurance companies just did.

Aetna – which is on track to make $1 billion this year – says it will raise customers’ premiums in order to make even more profit. The company expects the price hike to force as many as 650,000 people to lose their insurance – the equivalent of the residents of cities like Denver, Boston, Seattle or Baltimore losing their coverage at once.

Meanwhile, health reform opponents say our insurance markets are ‘working’ just great, and they’re doing everything they can to kill prospects for real change this week. But when an insurance CEO is willing to cut hundreds of thousands of Americans’ health coverage to make even more profit, is our health insurance market really working for us?

Above is part of an email that I just received from the Consumer’s Union Action fund, along with a lame request telling me how the current health care bill “is not perfect” but I should send in money to support it any way.

“Isn’t perfect?“   YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!  People like Joe Lieberman, Rahm Emanuel, Max Baucus and yes even Barack Obama have been allowed to destroy any shred of meaning or significance of health care reform.

All that remains in this sorry-assed bill is that it forces 30 million Americans into buying health care insurance from the same greedy corporate insurance pigs who have been gouging us for years.

THANKS BUT NO THANKS OBAMA AND RAHM EMANUEL!  YOU CAN TAKE YOUR CLINTON RATPACK AND SHOVE IT.

I hope to God that enough Americans understand that we are engaged in a class war, a war against and oligarchy.  I hope to God that they realize that it doesn’t matter if the candidate is a Republican or a Democrat–what matters is if they have over a million dollars.

GET THEM OUT OF CONGRESS.  REMOVE THE MILLIONAIRES.  THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL DEMOCRACY HAVE A CHANCE.

and don’t fall for the fake tea party scams either.  That is how the rich Republicans scam conservatives in their party.  People like David Koch fund “grassroots” organizations like “Americans for Prosperity” and then abuse people by lying to them.

with the Democrats, we have multimillionaires like the Clintons and Rahm Emanuel and Obama pretending to be “progressive.”  They are no more “progressive” than George Bush.
