What the REAL fight is all about: Taking back control over how our tax dollars are spent
Rich conservatives argue and put out propaganda to support an anti-tax agenda.
The truth is that the leadership of the Republican Party and Blue Dogs are NOT opposed to taxes. They are opposed the people having a voice in how they are spent. And of course they want their own special loopholes and offshore accounts. By the way, where are those 4,000 names of rich Americans who have been cheating the rest of us by not paying their taxes? I thought that USB was going to release these names. Why is this not public?
This is in part what the battle is all about over healthcare–the American people having a voice in how our tax dollars are spent. AND WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT, THE CLEAR MAJORITY (76 TO 83%) ARE IN FAVOR OF A STRONG PUBLIC OPTION AND 61% ARE IN FAVOR OF SINGLE PAYER.
********************************************************************
Incredibly wealthy conservative groups like Koch Industries pour millions of dollars into groups like “American’s for Prosperity” to train people to fear monger and whip crowds into irrational states of hate, confusion and fear with misinformation and downright lies about healthcare as “government takeover”. What they are really doing is protecting their own investments and reserving the government teat for their own personal use.
It is true that health care for all Americans will cost money, but it is a lie to say that we don’t have that money.
We have that money because of people like me in the middle who pay on average 25% to 30% of our annual income a year into the pot .
The money is there. It is a matter of priorities as to whether it is spent to support health care for all Americans or to support people like David Koch.
***************************************************************
The money is there for single payer. It is not a matter of not enough money–it is a matter of who OUR TAX DOLLARS are spent on–us, or people like David Koch and the other 300 richest people in the world.
What price is to be placed on the lives of 162,000 Americans who have needlessly died since 2000 because they couldn’t cough up the money demanded by these greedy pigs?
*******************************************************************
If the best that Obama can do is vote for a Rahm Emanuel “trigger” to pull “when things get REALLY bad”, if it’s not bad enough that 162,000 American have needlessly died because of these pigs, then we need a new president in 2012
