This is what lies ahead for Honduras if people like Lanny Davis and Roger Noreiga are allowed to have their way and install the illegal right-wing government in Honduras.  This is what Haiti looks like today after Roger Noriega got through with that country and installed the rich.  This is only a tiny piece of Haiti’s story today.  There are food shortages, riots, etc.  It is not a happy place.  Haiti is an imperial slave colony–that is the true description of its economy.

“The State Department warns U.S. citizens to exercise a high degree of caution when traveling to Haiti.  While the overall security situation has improved, political tensions remain, and the potential for politically-motivated violence persists.  This Travel Warning replaces the Travel Warning dated January 28, 2009, and is being issued to provide updated information on country conditions, and to alert Americans to ongoing security concerns and on contacting and registering with the U.S. Embassy in Haiti.

Haiti, like most Caribbean countries, can be affected by hurricanes and other storms.  Hurricane season runs from approximately June 1 - November 30 each year.  The lack of infrastructure and rescue services, combined with impassable roads and bridges, have severely hindered rescue and relief efforts.

This is what happens to countries when right-wing business interests are allowed to take precedence over the basic interests of the people. Their infrastructure crumbles, schools decay (after all the rich can afford to send their children to private schools so why bother with taxation to support public schools), the country actually become dangerous for the citizens to live in.  We saw a perfect example of this neglect in our own country with the collapse of the bridge in Minneapolis.

There will be more.  Instead of creating work programs as Roosevelt did to create jobs and repair our infrastructure, the Obama Administration is using our tax dollars to prop up the right-wing business interests that caused this economic failure in the first place.

Right-wing despots have absolutely no sense of community–none whatsoever.  Everything is for business and profits for the rich.  We see this same story manifested today in our health care system.  Privatized health care is a system designed to serve the rich and exclude the middle class and the poor.

Since last September, almost five million Americans have lost their health care because they cannot afford to pay private health care insurance companies.  18,000 Americans die every year because they do not have health care insurance.

And what is the band aid that the Clinton Inc. Obama administration are suggesting? A “public option” whereby FOUR YEARS from now ( after 72,000 more Americans have needlessly lost their lives from lack of health care and another 20 million their healthcare insurance) they will be able to force 10 million Americans onto the Corporate Welfare dole as new customers for private health care.

THAT IS NO SOLUTION.  THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS.  IT WILL BE YOUR JOB TO TELL THEM THE REAL STORY OF WHAT IS BEING DONE TO US IN AUGUST.  AND TO TELL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS THAT  YOU DEMAND THE REAL AND ONLY SOLUTION OF SINGLE PAYER.
