But would you expect anything different from a man who supports corporations instead of a young woman who has been gang-raped by 7 men?

From today’s Huffington Post:

After the Huffington Post reported that eight states still allow insurance companies to treat domestic violence as a precondition, leaders from three of those declared that they would put an end to the practice.

North Carolina Republican Senator Richard Burr took a different approach and instead challenged the head of the organization, the National Women’s Law Center, that issued the original report at a Senate hearing Thursday.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2009, North Carolina Senator Richard Burr voted with 30 other male Republican senators against the rights of a young woman who was gang raped.  Instead they upheld the right of Halliburton to hold its own kangaroo arbitration court in place of U.S. justice.  And these jackasses claim to support our Constitution?  And Burr claims to be a family man with a wife and two children.  I wonder what his position would  have been if the victim had been his wife or one of his children instead of Jamie Leigh Jones.  Would his right-wing political ideology mean more to him than justice for them?
